1 beer = 500m² of ocean protected

Founded in 2015, Blue Alliance manages and finances marine protected areas (MPAs) in some of the world’s most fragile, threatened, yet critically important ecosystems—particularly in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Tanzania. This pioneering organization takes a rigorous scientific approach aimed at regenerating coral reefs and mangroves, protecting the biodiversity they support, and improving the livelihoods of coastal communities through local, sustainable solutions.

These are not just “paper parks.” These MPAs implement some of the most advanced conservation, enforcement, and resource management measures, working closely with local authorities and their police forces, who regularly patrol to ensure protection rules are respected. Each MPA is grounded in field data and monitored using clear, scientifically validated impact indicators.*

We support them because of the strength of their model: the funds we provide serve as seed capital to launch the marine protected areas. Blue Alliance then establishes sustainable, revenue-generating enterprises that can cover up to 80% of each MPA’s operating costs. This model enables MPAs to quickly become self-sufficient, meaning every new donation can be directly invested in developing new protected areas—a remarkably virtuous cycle!
