The ocean sustains all life on Earth — yet it’s in crisis.
Scientists estimate that around €175 billion per year is needed to restore ocean health. Today, 98% of that funding is still missing.
That’s why we created Ocean Beer: a great-tasting beer that donates 100% of its profits to ocean protection.
Thanks to your support, we’ve already been able to donate over €500,000 since 2021 to organisations working on the front lines of marine restoration.
How Does Your Beer Protect the Ocean?
Ocean Beer was born from a simple but bold idea: to make a real, measurable difference for our ocean.
So when deciding how to use our profits, we don’t just chase the trendiest or most glamorous projects: we focus on initiatives that deliver the most concrete impact on ocean health, balancing global projects where funds are most needed with local action that creates visible change on our shores.
Deploying Marine Protected Areas around the world
50% of Ocean Beer’s profits fund Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) — one of the most effective, science-backed ways to restore ocean ecosystems.
Thanks to our partnership with Blue Alliance, which manages over 3 million hectares of MPAs worldwide, every Ocean Beer sold protects 210m² of ocean for one year in some of the world’s most biodiverse and threatened regions. By restricting destructive fishing and establishing no-take zones, these MPAs allow marine life and habitats to recover at remarkable rates.

Restoring ocean health along Germany’s coasts
The other 50% of Ocean Beer’s profits is reinvested locally, supporting ocean protection and restoration projects in Germany.
With the guidance of our Scientific Advisory Board and the involvement of the Ocean Beer community, we select every year and for each market those projects that combine scientific relevance with measurable benefits for local marine life and coastal ecosystems.
Following Ocean Beer’s launch in Germany in 2026, the first selected local projects will be announced later in the year.

Award-Winning Beer. Real Ocean Impact.
Our multi-award-winning lager, celebrated in several international beer competitions for its exceptional taste, is now available in Germany in a returnable 33 cl bottle.
Each bottle finances the protection of 210 m² of ocean for one year and supports marine restoration projects along Germany’s coastline. This commitment is reflected in our brand-new packaging, where each square represents one Ocean Beer—one gesture for the ocean.
