The ocean connects us all, but for some people, that connection runs especially deep. Our ambassadors are divers, scientists, photographers, sailors, conservationists, storytellers and ocean advocates who have built their lives around the sea. Each brings a different perspective, skill set and story, but they share the same belief: that protecting the ocean starts with helping people understand, experience and fall in love with it.

Every Ocean Beer sold contributes to a straightforward promise: 100% of the profits are donated to projects that restore ocean health. But what does that actually mean in practice? Where do the funds go, who selects the projects, and how do we know the impact is real?

Ocean Beer is a project launched by the Ocean Born Foundation , a non-profit organization. The challenge is to have a beer brewed in four different corners of the world and to donate 100% of the profits to contribute to ocean conservation. Today, I received the French version of Ocean Beer, brewed by Brasserie des Sources in St-Amand-les-Eaux.

It's official: Ocean Born Foundation and Ocean Beer are members of the Profit for Good coalition! It felt like finally meeting our long-lost family. 

We are incredibly excited to see Ocean Beer expanding fast across France! Already on the shelves of many Coopérative U and Cabesto stores, the brand will reach many more locations and retailers over the summer.

For a foundation-owned beer that gives 100% of its profits to the ocean, this is quite a huge milestone!

Coral reefs are among the most important ecosystems on Earth. Although they cover less than one percent of the ocean floor, they support around a quarter of all marine life. Reefs provide shelter for fish, sea turtles, sharks, and countless other species, while also supporting countless people around the world. Today, coral reefs are disappearing at an alarming rate. The biggest threat is climate change. Rising ocean temperatures cause coral bleaching, a process where corals expel the algae that give them colour and energy. Without this relationship, corals weaken and can eventually die. Mass bleaching events are now affecting reefs across the world, including the Great Barrier Reef and scientists estimate that the world has lost around 50% of its coral reefs since the 1950s.

As we celebrate World Ocean Day, we're incredibly proud to announce that Ocean Beer is officially hitting the French market! There couldn't have been a better day for it.

Since 2015, Blue Alliance has, silently, away from the spotlight, been building one of the most ambitious ocean restoration models on the planet — with a bold objective: to protect 25% of the world’s coral reefs by 2050. 

Ocean Beer, a purpose-driven beer brand that donates 100% of its profits to ocean conservation, has officially launched in Germany. The beer is now available online for delivery across Germany, with plans to expand rapidly into bars, restaurants and hotels as well as supermarkets across the country.
