The ocean sustains all life on Earth, yet it is in crisis. Scientists estimate that around €150 billion per year is needed to restore ocean health. Today, 98% of that funding is still missing.
That is why we created Ocean Beer: a great-tasting beer allowing anyone to contribute easily and yet concretely to ocean conservation in his everyday life.
Ocean Beer is fully owned by Ocean Born Foundation, a certified non-profit organisation that donates 100% of its profits to organisations working on the front lines of marine restoration.

Two craft beers, brewed with care on the island of La Palma.

A refreshing pilsner with a light malt character, gentle hop bitterness and a clean finish.

Ocean Beer was born from a simple but bold idea: to turn every beer into real, measurable ocean action.
So when deciding how to donate our profits, we don’t just chase the trendiest or most glamorous projects: we focus on initiatives that deliver the most concrete impact on ocean health, balancing global projects where funds are most needed with local actions that create visible change on our shores.
50% - Deploying Marine Protected Areas around the world
Half of Ocean Beer’s profits fund Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) — one of the most effective, science-backed ways to restore ocean ecosystems.
Thanks to our partnership with Blue Alliance Marine Protected Areas, every Ocean Beer bottle sold protects 210m² of ocean for one year in some of the world’s most biodiverse and threatened regions. The successful recovery of these marine ecosystems is evaluated and independently certified by experts from the CNRS (Europe’s largest fundamental science agency).

The rest of Ocean Beer’s profits support local ocean protection and restoration initiatives across the Canary islands.
Each year, with the support of the Ocean Beer community, we select local projects recognised for their scientific credibility and measurable impact on marine life and Canarian coastal ecosystems.
In 2026, the selected project is Ocean Angel: based in Tenerife, this organisation hand-removes trash and lost fishing gear from the Canarian seabed. To date, over 8,500 kilos of marine debris have already been removed, protecting critically endangered species and the coastal habitats they depend on.
Brewed locally by Cervecería Isla Verde
On the island of La Palma, in the small town of Tijarafe, Gino and Vero de Reuwe have been brewing beer since 2009. When we started looking for a Canarian partner, choosing their microbrewery was a straightforward decision: we share the same love for our blue planet, and the same demand for quality, sustainable beer.
A few of the things Cervecería Isla Verde does differently:
Fully powered by renewable energy, to reduce their carbon footprint
Sources ingredients locally, to support the island economy and cut transport emissions
Uses water-saving and heat-capture systems across brewing operations
Gives spent grain to local farmers, for a zero-waste cycle
No single-use plastics anywhere in production or packaging
